Be an Angel 10th Anniversary Appeal 2018/19 Review
In April 2018 we launched our 10th Anniversary Be an Angel Appeal with the stretching target of raising a much needed £30k to cover the cost of running our projects. We are delighted to report that through the generosity of our supporters, old and new, we have achieved this target. We now need to continue this momentum and raise a similar amount in 2019, plugging the gap between our expected income from regular givers and our operational running costs.
Our anniversary year was busy but engaging. It started with a fabulous Quiz & Curry night held at Christ Church Guildford, where over £2000 was raised. We’ve had parties and a special Commissioning Service to thank our wonderful volunteers and welcome new people to the Chaplaincy. In the autumn, a crazy sponsored relay Tower Climb at Guildford Cathedral involving 44 participants, 200 ascents and 100,000 steps, raised a staggering £10,500. Generous gifts from Churches, local organisations, businesses and individuals have enabled us to meet our financial targets in 2018.
The Charity is currently in a good financial position thanks to our many donors. The Chaplaincy is hugely grateful for this faithful support. So thank you, whether you have taken part in an event, donated towards our work, or supported us in other ways. Your support for our Anniversary Appeal has enabled us to keep our volunteers contributing to spreading compassion and care in our town, tackling loneliness and supporting the vulnerable. Keep an eye out for events in 2019, do get in touch if we can help you in any way, we would love to tell you more!

Our team does immeasurably more than we can ever show in simple numbers; helping clean up the streets of Guildford, making them a safer place and showing practical love and care to those in need. The need is real and is great, so please do all you can to help support us in 2019 and beyond.
