OUR PARTNERSHIPS
Guildford Town Centre Chaplaincy (GTCC) has ‘collaboration’ as one of its core values. Whilst most of our funding comes from supportive Christian churches of all denominations and individuals, we believe it is also important to build and maintain strong partnerships with other organisations across the town who are all working for the well-being of the people in Guildford.
GTCC continues to be increasingly reliant on grant funding and funds raised through one-off events. The Chaplaincy would like to gratefully acknowledge the most generous support in 2023 from the following supporters: The Surrey Police and Crime Commissioner, Guildford Poyle Charities, The Borrows Charitable Trust, The Community Foundation for Surrey, Guildford Philanthropy, The Bishop of Guildford’s Foundation, the University of Surrey, The Erica Leonard Trust, Surrey County Council, The Albert Hunt Charitable Trust, John Beane Charity, The Tesco Community Fund, The Hospital of William Parson, TK Maxx Homesense Community Fund, The Assura Social Impact Fund, St Catherine’s School, Bramley, Guildford McDonalds and the United Reformed Church Christmas Tree Festival. Thank you all so much for your support!
Our local community partners, Guildford Town Guides, and the Guildford Scottish Country Dancing group, have also supported us generously in 2022/23, and we were honoured to have been selected to be the Charity of the Year for Guildford Walkfest for the third year running.
With an increase in demand for our services across our three projects, it will cost over £110,000 to operate GTCC in 2024.
The Chaplaincy is budgeting for a deficit of some £30,000, drawing on reserves to cover our costs.
If you can help fund the worthwhile work of GTCC, please get in touch!
