Fiona Ford, our experienced Street Angel project co-ordinator, has decided to move on to spend more time with her family, after spending the last 7 years nurturing this successful, award winning scheme. We are so grateful for the dedicated contribution that Fiona has made since she joined the team as a “bit of a stop gap”, embodying the values of Guildford Town Centre Chaplaincy, showing compassion and care for the volunteers that she has looked after so enthusiastically.
This announcement followed the news that Rachel Guilford, who had very capably helped establish and grow our Community Angel project, moved away from the area in July 2020, having joined GTCC in 2017. GTCC feels very blessed to have seen the flourishing of both their Community Angels and Street Angels projects, under the guidance of these wonderful team members and now looks to the future to continue their work.
On 1 August, GTCC was delighted to announce the promotion of Anne Thornton to fill Rachel’s post, in turn, leaving a vacancy in the Community Angel Project Assistant role. GTCC are now looking for two special individuals to help build on the firm foundations formed by Fiona and Rachel, to help take these vital projects to the next stage in their journeys, as we work together with churches and community partners to bring compassion and restoration to our neighbourhood. If you are interested in joining our friendly team please visit our vacancies page to find out more, we look forward to hearing from you. Situations Vacant
