Community Angels calls out for votes to bag a share of Tesco’s bag fund

I’m excited to share the news that Community Angels is one of 3 projects selected to be part of the Tesco Bags of Help Scheme, where funds raised from carrier bag sales in Tesco stores are awarded to local community projects.

Voting will take place from Thursday 1st March to Monday 30th April 2018. The project with the highest number of votes in the area will receive £4,000, the second placed project £2,000, and the third placed project £1,000.

To vote, you will need to make a purchase within store of any value. You will receive one token per transaction (please ask for a token if you are not given one!) and it’s not necessary to purchase a carrier bag in order to receive a token.

Please see below a list of stores where you can vote:

2590    Guildford       GU2 7UN         Superstores
6165    GUILDFORD BRIDGE EXP    GU1 4RY Express
6011    MILFORD SURREY EXP      GU8 5HJ Express

If you are able to share this with friends, family, colleagues and wider contacts that would be also be wonderful!

If you use social media, you can find pinned posts about this on our facebook and twitter pages.

Thank you!

We can hardly believe it’s nearly ten years since a small group of people from Guildford churches got together in 2008 with a vision to serve vulnerable people in our town, whatever their circumstances. The first project, Street Angels has been our ‘signature’ ever since, and has not only won the hearts of people out and about in the night time economy of the town, but has built bridges in collaboration with the Police and emergency services, the Borough Council and civic bodies.
