The Chaplaincy would like to thank the people who live and work in Guildford Town Centre for their generous support in 2019.  On Saturday 7 December, volunteers adorning Angel wings collected an amazing £804.83 in Guildford High Street, to support the work of Guildford Street Angels.  This generosity will help recruit, train and support our 100 volunteer Street Angels who provide a friendly, calming patrol every Friday and Saturday night in the Town Centre, protecting, caring and listening to those who need help of any kind, between 10.30pm and 4am.  We have been overwhelmed and are incredibly grateful to all our faithful supporters, to those who donated to our collectors, or regularly support the activities of the Town Centre Chaplaincy in other ways, to enable us to provide “the fourth emergency service” to the vulnerable in our town.

Noelle Coe, Town Chaplain said “I have had the privilege of being able to call myself Town Chaplain for a whole year.  In that year I have been both humbled and encouraged to meet so many people from all walks of life working together to make Guildford a better place.  I would like to take this opportunity to “shout out” to the volunteers, the residents, the business leaders, and the many organisations who make up our Town Centre community who regularly support the lonely, the homeless or those in need, through practical and financial support.   We are so fortunate to live in a community which is generous, caring and hospitable, working collaboratively for the good of all.   With every blessing to all our supporters, and their families, for a safe and compassionate New Year”
